Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA)'s Reading and Math assessment is a

computer-adaptive test that is given three times a year which changes based

on a student's answers throughout the test.  Students may receive different

numbers of questions on the test depending on their levels.  RIT scores are

measures of their performance on the assessment, and growth targets are

also created based on their grade level and test performance.  Percentiles

(from 1-100) show how the students performed on the assessment relative to

nationwide sets of similar grade level students.  An asterisk in the "Met

Growth Target" field indicates that the student met or did not meet the

growth target, but the performance was within the standard of error of the

assessment.
