NBA champion Metta Sandiford-Artest recently stopped by East High School to meet and greet with the boys' basketball team. Metta encouraged our scholars to always focus on education and putting that and their mental health first. Metta wished the Golden Bears continued success and a standout season.
In addition to his notable NBA career, Metta is an advocate for mental health and was in the Valley to speak at the Unmute the Uncomfortable Conference. You can learn more about East High School athletics here.
Thank you, Metta, for taking the time to speak with our scholars. We look forward to you visiting YCSD again the future!
