healthcare at Ycsd

YCSD Families,

As the new school year starts, I first want to welcome our scholars and families back!  I believe we can all feel the momentum and excitement we have established in our district and I believe that is the result of a renewed team atmosphere.

Again this year, I want to emphasize that scholar healthcare needs will remain a central component of our overall educational mission.  In this regard, please remember to alert your scholars that we continue to be served by the school nurses in our buildings, and for our athletes, we continue to be served by training staff on the fields, courts and gyms.  More information can be found about district nursing services here: https://www.ycsd.org/o/ycsd/page/nursing-services.

One change this year for our district will be that we are transitioning away from the on-site QuickMed clinics and services.  The independent QuickMed clinics that were previously located in four district buildings will no longer be operational.  However, if you are a patient or client of QuickMed this should not impact you seeking services from their other locations that are not on our grounds; but the district will no longer have a formal relationship with the company.  Please also be aware that going forward, services for YCSD scholars at all QuickMed locations will need to be paid through your personal healthcare insurance provider.

Of course, we are very fortunate to have full-time nurses in each of our buildings who have always been responsible for addressing the daily healthcare needs of our scholars. This support, which has been a constant in our district, has not changed and will continue to be available to all our scholars. For all of your scholar-related healthcare needs, please reach out to nursing services.

We deeply appreciate your continued support of our district. Your partnership is invaluable as we strive to provide the best possible education and healthcare services for our scholars.
