Youngstown City Schools is hosting its last free screening of the Right to Read documentary on Friday, October 25, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Youngstown Event Center, 12 E Dewey Ave. Produced by LeVar Burton, The Right to Read shares the stories of an NAACP activist, a teacher, and two American families who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read.
Families will learn about the district's literacy initiatives and tips for improving their scholars' reading skills. Children can also participate in a trunk-or-treat. For more information, contact Parent Pathways at 330-740-8776.
