Transportation Updates for the 2023-2024 School Year
The district has set up a call center 330-744-5905 at the transportation department to go live on Monday, August 21, for the first two weeks of school, from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Due to the expected high call volume, if you need assistance with E-Link (busing information portal), fill out this form, and a member of our team will contact you (you must have a working email to complete the form). Click here to fill out the E-Link Parent Portal assistance form.
The below information is available to download by clicking this link.
Progress Book
Families can now view busing information in Progress Book! https://parentaccess.access-k12.org. Your scholarās bus number and pick-up/drop-off times are in the schedule tab. Transportation information will appear above the scholarās schedule of classes.
E-Link Parent Portal
The Versatrans E-Link Parent Portal allows parents to search their scholar's bus assignment information. Click on E-Link Parent Portal and log in by doing the following:
Username = jane.smith ā thatās jane dot smith with no spaces (scholar's first name and scholarās last name, with no spaces).
The password is the scholarās date of birth in this format, MMDDYY. Passwords are 2-digit month, 2-digit day, and 4-digit year, such as 01012014).
K-3 Scholars
Scholars in grades K-3 must have an adult present to exit the bus. Parents/guardians can sign an authorization to make other arrangements, such as allowing them to walk home with an older sibling. If no adult is present, scholars will be taken to our office and must be picked up from there. Repeated incidents may result in removal from busing and a referral to Children Services.
Delays, Closings, Bus Changes, or Cancellations
If a change in your scholarās bus route needs relaying, our transportation department will send a text message. This alert goes out to the cell number we have on file. During inclement weather, notices will go out through district-wide robocalls and media outlets.
YCSD Walk Zone Update
As per Ohio law and YCSD policy, if you live within a reasonable distance of your scholarās school, they are expected to walk to school. The walking distance for K-8 is one mile, while high school is two miles. Due to this policy, some scholars who received transportation in the 22-23 school year may be required to walk to school.
Updated Contact Information
Any changes in contact information must be updated through FinalForms.
Please reach out to your schoolās Parent Engagement Coordinators first to resolve busing questions before contacting the Transportation Department. Thank you for entrusting us with your scholars!
