In cases of inclement weather, the district may cancel school or have a two-hour delay. It is imperative we have up to date phone numbers, as the district will send notifications through robocall and text. 

Inclement Weather Closings: When school closes or is delayed due to inclement weather, the district will notify local news outlets, including TV stations and newspapers. YCSD will also post a message to our website (www.ycsd.org), social media channels, send an email to staff, and send an alert to the phone number we have on file for families and staff. 

Employees
Staff who need to report to work will be contacted by their immediate supervisor. 

Youngstown Rayen Early College High School: For scholars taking YSU courses, the University operates on a separate calendar from the district's. Therefore, scholars may still have YSU classes. It is the scholar’s responsibility to notify their instructor if they have to miss class. 

Athletics Events: Games will or won't be canceled on a case-by-case basis.
