Join Youngstown City School District to thank YSU student Maranda Callahan for donating over 1,300 books to Taft Elementary!
Maranda set up donation boxes and collected books herself for K-5, ranging from workbooks to fiction, novels, and more.
Maranda, a primary education major, got the idea of holding a book collection from one of her classes. She decided to adopt a classroom and chose Taft Elementary to be the recipient of the books. The collection will be added to Taft’s library and distributed to scholars to take home to build their own library.
