Cleveland Browns defensive end player Issac Rochell, and the teamā€™s mascot, Chomps, were on-hand to present a $10,000 grant to Chaney High School and the Food Service Department. The funds were awarded by the Fuel Up to Play 60 Grant  from the American Dairy Association Mideast and Cleveland Browns on behalf of Ohioā€™s dairy farmers.

The grant will be used to purchase smoothie equipment, add milk-based coffee beverages to their school menu, and refresh the cafeteria.

Youngstown City School Districtā€™s relationship with the Cleveland Browns also extends through being one of 17 districts partnering with Stay in the Game! Keep Learning Every Day Network. The Network is powered by The Cleveland Browns Foundation, Ohio Department of Education, and Proving Ground, which are deeply committed to prioritizing attendance by connecting its users to resources to tackle chronic absenteeism.

Youngstown City School District extends our gratitude and thanks to The American Dairy Association Mideast and the Cleveland Browns for their support and generosity. And we give a very special thank you to Isaac Rochell and Chomps for spending time with our scholars and serving them lunch. Youā€™re now an official member of the YCSD Family, and we hope you visit us again soon!
